Car and Driver Circulation # -  1,377,395 Our group chose to make a car magazine, so we are reviewing other car magazines to use as guidelines for our own. The first magazine we analyzed is Car and Driver Magazine. On the cover, the background is usually a new or groundbreaking car. The font is bold yet flowing, made to look like a car. Inside, there are different car articles and ads. The ads are for things like car mats and oil.The articles are for things like upcoming cars and car records. It also includes some information about cars in general, and maintenance.

For my project, I am choosing to do the magazine. I am doing the project with two other classmates. I am choosing this as we have certain skills that can benefit the group. I am not doing the film, as I have no background in writing script, acting or editing. My group does not as well. We are planning on making a magazine about cars. We are writing and taking pictures on both the physical mechanics on the car, as well as style. In summary, the magazine is intended as both informational and style inspiring.

I think that I would also be interested in the film selection for this project. It looks interesting to me to act out a script from start to finish. Also, although I am unfamiliar with it now, it would be interesting to see and learn the editing process. The only part that doesn't look good to me is the script writing. I also don`t think that I would be the best at it, as I am not the most creative or best at making new content. However, I have learned different solutions to problems and filming strategies from movies watched in class like Ferris Bueller. My greatest strength would be the fact that I would have alot of watched movies to reference. My greatest weakness would be my lack of movie-making experience.

For a magazine, there are many aspects like in newspapers. I have seen the background of these aspects in movies and shows shown in class such as the Newsroom and All The Presidents Men. There are various types of articles, such as ones slandering, informational ones, and ones that follow a lead to a verdict. I believe I would be more interested in the informational pieces as I am not one for slandering and I could lose interest in a lead. This would be a good fit for me since I have experience researching and writing from classes in the past. Some challenges I could face is that I have no experience with photoshop or other design. The magazine I would make would likely more resemble a newspaper. This means it would have less design and more information.
